Why Newbarn? Situated between wild Dartmoor and the holiday town of Paignton, Newbarn Farm is the perfect base for exploring dozens of attractions. The farm really does have everything: glorious views, fresh groceries, barbeques, even a footy field – lots of special touches to make your holiday magical. Adults will love the breathtaking views and the Devon brownies; meanwhile, the kids are certain never to forget our trampoline!

What to expect. As you meander down the private drive to Newbarn, you’ll discover just how special it is – a haven you’d never expect to find just a stone’s throw from so many amenities. Newbarn is home to eight holiday cottages, each with its own character and charm. Renovated to a very high standard, your holiday cottage is equipped extremely thoughtfully.

Newbarn Farm is exceptionally well-equipped for holidaymakers, with a wide range of entertainment facilities and every convenience in your cottage.

Poachers Cottage Sleeps 2 (+1). A cosy cottage for two with outdoor space and breathtaking views. Relax and soak up the peace and tranquillity in Poachers Cottage, a private apartment in the main farmhouse.

Buzzards Bough Sleeps 3 (+1) A private cottage that’s perfect for nature-lovers. Relax in Buzzards Bough’s conservatory with a glass of wine as the sun sets; you’ll be amazed at the visitors who stop by outside! Young families and couples come back again and again to this charming apartment, which is attached to the main farmhouse (with a private entrance).

Lambs Gate Sleeps 4 (+2) An easily-accessible, cottage with stunning Dartmoor views. With a ground-floor bedroom and bathroom, Lambs Gate Cottage has been designed with the less mobile in mind. It’s named after the gate at the bottom of the garden, which opens onto a field where lambs graze in spring.

Oakrest Cottage Sleeps 8+2 (+2) Our biggest property with spectacular views and great facilities. Perfect for families who want to holiday together, or for bringing the kids’ friends, Oakrest is big enough for everyone! It’s made by linking two properties – Oaktree and Anglers Rest – by an interconnecting first floor double bedroom.

Anglers Rest Sleeps 4 or 6 (+2) Bring the family for an active holiday in this characterful (flexible) property. You don’t have to be an angler to appreciate the beautiful views from this family-sized cottage. Designed to make the most of the panoramic landscape, it commands a view stretching for miles and miles..

Dartmoor View. Sleeps 6 (+ 2) Every convenience for a fun family holiday! There’s space for everyone in Dartmoor View. This large cottage features three bedrooms (double, and two adult-sized bunks), a bathroom plus a downstairs cloakroom, and a lounge/diner with patio..

Oaktree Cottage. Sleeps 2 or 4 (+2) A peaceful retreat for active holiday-makers. Oaktree’s the perfect spot for a restorative break. A cosy lounge/diner opens its large French windows onto a peaceful outdoor space overlooking Dartmoor – ideal for whiling away the long, lazy evenings. .

Pheasants Hide. Sleeps 2 Cosy up in Pheasants’ Hide and you may never want to leave! Be one of the first to try out newly-renovated Pheasants Hide. This sweet and stylish little hideaway is built for two. Gaze out over the lakes....

Badgers Holt Sleeps 4 (+1) A bright and warm base for holidays all year round. The lounge in Badgers Holt is flooded with sunlight during the day – it’s just the place to retreat from everyday life. This cottage has been stylishly renovated with lots of character, a big, open-plan kitchen/diner/lounge, and several unusual features. With views over the calming lakes. .

Conveniences for your holiday- Holidaymakers are invited to make use of:

• Wireless LAN – for internet connection
• All cottages are equipped with microwave, dishwasher, TV/DVD/Freeview, cassette/radio/CD players.

Entertainment and Activities Newbarn Farm has an outdoor play area to keep even the bounciest children happy! Our facilities include an adult sized trampoline, swings and slide, a play field for cricket, badminton, volleyball and football, professional basketball ring, and a golf practice area.

Just a short drive away, and free to our guests, is a marvellous leisure complex with heated swimming pools, sauna, steam-room and gym. If you fancy a family game in our outdoor space, we can lend you a swingball set, frisbee and kites. The garden field, overlooking our pretty lakes, features brick BBQs, picnic tables and seating.

Enjoy a rewarding day at this picturesque location in the Dart Valley Pleasurable, rewarding angling for beginners and experts Our lakes and ponds, set in the peaceful surroundings of the beautiful Dart Valley, offer some of the most rewarding and pleasant angling in the country. Whether you’re a beginner, pleasure, or specimen angler, we’re pleased to welcome you. You’ll find expert advice and rental equipment at our Angling Centre – if you need tuition, all you have to do is ask. The shop also sells bait, tackle essentials, and laminated photographs of your catch! NEWBARN RECORDS: Carp: 29lb; Ghost Carp: 18lb.
